Scratched bezel on iPhone

I just wanted to pass this along. I really have OCD when it comes to any scuffs nics dings or scratches on my iPhone. Hear is a little word of advice. If you have any scratches or dongs on the bezel of your iPhone go to an autopart store or paint shop and look for 2000 grit sandpaper. I think you will have a hard time finding it at a hardware store since the paper is used for sanding automobiles that are being painted. Lightly rub across the scratches with minimal pressure and they will start to disappear. Warning on this though it does take the chrome sheen away and you end up with a polished metal look. I think it really looks good though. And next time I get scratches on the bezel I won't be able to see them because it hasn't a different finish. Also I found a really good way to protect you phone from scratches is to get the invisible shield installed on your phone. It completely wraps around your phone including the bezel and is guaranteed for life from scratches and lifting. If anyone has a better idea on removing scratches or have done this leave your thoughts. Also does anyone know how to remove scratches from the plastic of the iPhone?
