Scrabble multiplayer wifi

Having continual problems playing scrabble multiplayer wifi on 3GS phones. Sometimes it works ok, more often than not it takes several times to get a game going. We have played a few games all the way without loss of the connection. EAs tech support is completely useless and unresponsive.

Phones are connecting to an airport extreme which is set up for b/g.
