The type is very small, hard to read for reviews in the App Store. *How to make it larger?*

In iTunes, Preferences, General, my texts are set to "Large."

In the Safari browser, have the toolbar icon that allows enlarging font with a single click. Is there something similar for iTunes?

iBook 14" G4, Mac OS X (10.5.7), 2 iPhone 3GS 32G Black, Bose Portable SoundDock II, car iPod cable, all software

Sorry but no, there is no control over the fonts displayed in the iTunes Store. You can, however, use the Zoom feature in Mac OS X (Universal Access system preference) to zoom in on the text.

Should have mentioned I'm trying to navigate and read in the iTunes Store (specifically the App Store) on my iBook.

Anybody know how to enlarge the type so it's easier to read? ???

Thank you Dave. Such a shock because older versions of Mac could tweak font sizes of displays and more customization. Good to get a definitive answer instead of spinning wheels searching searching searching. Thanks!

Macs still can tweak font sizes, either natively or with third-party tools, But the iTunes Store is basically a web site, displayed through the custom web browser built into iTunes. So unless iTunes itself allowed changes to font sizes for it's "browser", or the iTunes Store provided font customization (something I've not seen any e-commerce web site do), changing the fonts for the iTunes Store wouldn't be possible.

You can suggest such a feature here:

    http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

but whether Apple will ever implement such a think I can't say.

    Regards.

Since Yosemite, it is almost impossible for me to read anything in the App Store. I never had this problem before. Why can't Apple consider all the requests to allow us to make the font in App Store larger and darker? Magnifying the screen is not a satisfactory solution because it add further distortion. It strains my eyes and gives me headaches when I try to read anything in the App store.

I wear prescription computer glasses, and I still have problems with App Store text. The combination of small font size plus gray text makes the App Store harder to read than almost any program or web page I've seen. Web page small text problems are easily fixed, but we can do nothing about the App Store. I tried Zoom, but it is too crude. I want to specify a default zoom like I can with the NoSquint Add-on for Firefox. I'd also like to specify any size rectangle to be magnified, not just full screen or a small window.

It has been apparent for years that Apple caters to teens and young adults. Apple cares more about looks and glitziness than about functionality. I've used Apple products for thirty-one years (since the original 1984 Mac 128k), and I've felt mistreated since Apple dropped support for Rosetta in 2011.

Unless Apple fixes all these vision-related problems soon, and stops trying to make OS X look/work like iOS, this will be my last Mac purchase. Sad.
