change menubar color

Is there a way to change the menubar color, w/out upgrading to leopard. I just want to change it to black or charcoal.

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

I hope I'm remembering the right OS, but I think the secret was to set it to transparent & edit the desktop pic with a color bar of your choice on top.

IIRC, this APP does it too...

Thanks, nice app, they seem to have all around themes, while I just want to change the menu bar color. I guess I'll have to pop that leopard disk in, lol.

Leo has it's advantages & disadvantages, but if you're not held back by needing APPs that don't run under Leo, then it's for certain the way to go! 😉
