Safari Downloads: One at a time?

Is there any way to limit Safari to downloading items in the queue one at a time rather than all concurrently? I have a rather slow internet connection (at least not speedy) and if I have three or four 200+ MB files downloading at once it takes hours to complete.

This occurs frequently when I download books from Audible. I'd love to be able to start listening to Part 1 while the other two are downloading, instead of having all three parts taking 2-3 hours to download.

I've poked around and searched and can't find anything.

Thanks!

Hi Peter

I've never come across such a feature in 4+ years of tinkering with Safari - there might be a 3rd party download manager that offers it though ( iGetter maybe?.
With simple downloads, one can just pause/resume individual items from within Safari's downloads window & restart them later, but if from a commercial pay-site, or places like Rapidshare, this will not work.
