mail is frozen

mail is frozen

for some reason my mail just stopped working. it seems to be frozen on the last screen it was on.i cant touch the screen to move out of the page etc. i tried to delete the account and start over. no dice.
everything else on the ipod works fine, and the mail worked fine the first few days.
any ideas here?

32 gig, iPhone OS 3.0

Did you try to force close the app by holding the Home button down until it quit? Any app that sticks like that can be treated the same way to force it to end. If the app is still there, try that first before you try to delete and re-enter the account information.

If you are still having problems, do a reset on your iPod.

I'd try the force quit and restart first, but might also try opening mail with no account.

If it works with no account, try creating a test gmail or yahoo or aol account and see what happens. Might be a corrupted piece of mail or really large attachment.
