Audio and Video are out of sync

When i transfer a movie to my ipod i find that the Audio and Video are out of sync. The movie plays fine in itunes and quick time. Just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem? Just to be clear, the movie is in sync in itunes but audio and video go out of sync when transferred to ipod
