Sync Entourage and Outlook

Hello,

I am currently using a POP3 email account and I would like to be able to access emails and also share calendar, contacts and tasks between MS Outlook on a Windows XP and Entourage on OS X. I have not been able to find a way to read the same email on both computers.

Any ideas?

G'day, and welcome to the forums.

Although both products are from Microsoft, there is no way to do what you want using a POP 3 email account.

You can sync Entourage to Address Book/iCal and then use MobileMe to sync calendars and contacts between OS X and Windows. However tasks won't come through for Outlook.

If you want mail synchronisation, the best bet is to use an IMAP email account (such as Gmail, Fastmail or MobileMe).

To sync all you the items you want, you'll need an email account hosted on a Microsoft Exchange server. You'll have to use Entourage on your Mac, and Outlook on the PC. You'll then need to wait for Microsoft to release the next update to Microsoft Entourage coming out sometime in the next couple months to enable you to sync tasks.
