Connect two Airport Express Base Stations Together

I live in an apartment w/ a modem connected to an Airport Express w/ a printer and speakers.

Here is what I want to accomplish....

My friend's apartment is directly next to mine. I would like to have another Airport Express in his apartment, so he can have his own printer and speakers, yet feed off of my wireless network for internet.

There is no physical way to run a cable between the two dorms, so spilling the internet connection is out. I also don't want him to be able to access my printer / speakers.

Is this possible? If so, any ideas on how to accomplish would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello PyroFire3546. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!

Depending on the model (802.11g or 802.11n) AirPort Express Base Stations (AX) you & your friend have, you can potentially extend the wireless range of yours to share the Internet connection to his by creating a WDS between the two AXs.

I also don't want him to be able to access my printer / speakers.

To prevent him from using your iTunes speakers, you should password protect it using the AirPort Utility on your AX.
o AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Music > iTunes Speaker Password.

On the other hand, sharing a printer is an "all or nothing" kind of thing. If you enable a shared printer on your AX, he will be able to access from his since his AX is now extending yours.
