How do you know this works ?

Thnx for the answer, trying it right now 🙂

sounds like the battery meter might be off...i noticed that on mine at first as well...

iphones just wont do anything when they are below a certain level of charge... letting it charge for 10 - 15 mins will let the screen pop on showing its charging.

i would let it charge up to full since it did this... perhaps that will let the os "calibrate" its meter to the battery.

First, plug it in to a USB port or preferably to the power adaptor and let it charge for at least an hour. It's possible the battery meter was inaccurate and it was depleted.

After charging for a while, if it won't turn on or show the charging icon (red or green battery meter), you need warranty service from an Apple store Genius Bar. You can try resetting: pressing both the home and sleep wake buttons until the Apple logo appears.
