Singapore - Singtel SMS sent as MMS issue

If you bought your iPhone from Singtel and decided to use M1 or Starhub sim card. There will be 2 issue i found. Internet Tethering could be a problem. Upon connection, the iPhone will scan the sim card and if it find that its not from Singtel, it will disconnect immediately.

Another issue is SMS, if you want to send a SMS to multiple people using M1 or Starhub, the message will be sent as a MMS.

Hi,

I experienced the same problem, when I tried to send an SMS to multiple people, under the Starhub network. It tried to send as an MMS. Even then, the message failed to send out.

There is also another problem I see with the Starhub 3G network. I would loose the 3G connection after a while. I would have to restart the phone, to get this 3G connection back from Starhub network.

Did you experience the same thing too? I would be glad to hear if the greater community of iPhone 3GS users in Singapore (especially on the Starhub network), experienced the same problem.
