Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

iPhone and Exchange Get-ActiveSyncDeviceStatistics.

We are trying to get the phone numbers of the mobile devices that are using ActiveSync to sync email with our Exchange Servers. Exchange includes a commandlet called Get-ActiveSyncDeviceStatistics that returns information about each mobile device including its phone number. This is a convenient way to compile a company directory. Unfortunately this information is blank for all iPhones. I'm assuming that the implementation of the ActiveSync protocol in the iPhone is simply not providing this information to the Exchange server.

Does anybody know if this is something that can be enabled, and if not, is Apple planning on providing this information to the Exchange servers in a future version?

Thanks for your reply. I am familiar with that tool. While it is a handy way to get a list of mobile devices it does not resolve my primary problem of iPhone devices not providing phone numbers to Exchange.

The Mobile Admin tool gets device information from the same source as the Get-ActiveSyncDeviceStatistics commandlet, and so the information that they display will be the same.

iPhone and Exchange Get-ActiveSyncDeviceStatistics.
