Actually, everyone has the same problem. Frankly, I don't understand why anybody who cares about their photos puts them on FaceBook. When you upload a pic to FB they "process" it. The "process" includes reducing the filesize by about 95% - which is throwing away 95% of the quality of the photo and chucking away lots of metadata and all the color management information.

Don't believe me? Upload a pic to FaceBook then download it after and compare the two versions.

No, I'm not saying what people should or shouldn't do. I'm just saying that FaceBook do this to your files, and given this fact, I don't understand how +people who care about their photos+ use the facility. However, there's no reason to delete the feature, other people may want it. That said, the responsibility for the issue lies with FaceBook - as the simple test I suggest demonstrates. Take it up with them. Apple can't fix it.

Since Facebook is a social networking site, it's not for quality photo distribution anyway. Sharing photos there is mainly for fun. That said, I don't have a lot of a problem with colour fade or anything like that on photos I've posted there, but that could be because I tweak my Facebook photos size-wise, sharpness and all, in Photoshop and save them for web apps, so that they'll load nice and fast for viewers. I don't just upload some huge file to have them chop out whatever they chop out.

If someone needs the huge original file for some reason, I can send it to them directly. They don't need to get it off of Facebook.
