LOM port selection from CLI

Hi all,

I have a batch of new Nehalem based Xserves and can configure and enable the LOM from the command line with ipmitool. The default Ethernet port that the LOM uses is port 1, but I need to use port 2. The "Xserve: Configuring Lights-Out Management (LOM)" document ( http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2773) specifies using Server Monitor to do this. Server Monitor in 10.5.6 has a drop down list called "LOM uses Ethernet:" in the "Configure Lights-Out Management" dialog box and the choices are "Port 1" and "Port 2". Is there a way to do this from the command line? I've searched the net, the apple mailing lists, this forum and the "Xserve User Guide" and the "Mac OS X Server Command-Line Administration For Version 10.5 Leopard" and haven't found anything yet.

$ sw_vers
ProductName: Mac OS X Server
ProductVersion: 10.5.6
BuildVersion: 9G4008

Thanks in advance,
David

I configured the LOM interface via ipmitool on channel 2, which is the only LAN channel visible to ipmitool (see below). On an older Xserve (non-Nehalem) running 10.4.11, channels 1 and 2 are both LAN channels, but that's not the case on the newer Xserves and OS I'm asking about. By default, the LOM interface is bridged on Port 1 as evidenced by the MAC address being visible on the switch port Port 1 is plugged into. I'm aware of how to configure the LOM to use Port 2 via the GUI. How do you configure the LOM interface to use Port 2 from the command line on the current shipping Nehalem based Xserves running 10.5.6?

Thanks,
David
