Call forwarding with an extension in the phone number

Hi.

I want to forward my calls to my office during the day and i have to dial an extension number. I wanted to add 2 pauses before the extension in my call forwarding but it is not working so I wonder if anyone is transferring their calls to a phone number using an extension and how.
