An e-commerce site I run uses a SSL cert for encryption. The certificate expires later this month, so I went ahead and renewed it with a vendor (GoDaddy). I installed the new certificate using ServerAdmin by pasting the content of the SSL vendor's e-mail into the edit field. The server is up and running with SSL active, but for some reason the new information (e.g. new exp. date) does not show up when I click on the padlock icon (in both Safari and Firefox).
Is there an expiration time I have to wait for the cert to be reloaded on the server or my workstation? Is there a way force the reload? Is it cached somewhere that I can clear?
•I
did install the gd_bundle.crt.
•This server is running Mac OS X Server 10.3.9. Apache 1.3.

Thank you Camelot, I have tried that several times but the new info does not show up. Maybe I should restart the server hardware instead of just Apache?
If it's installed correctly, there's nothing that restarting the server would do that restarting Apache wouldn't do. The OS doesn't care about the certificate, just Apache.
If a restart of Apache doesn't fix it then it has to be configuration-related.
Sometimes it may be necessary to "reselect" the certificate in your site's settings in Server Admin. Simply change from your certificate to the default certificate, save, switch back to your certificate and save again.
