is iSkysoft legit?

most commercial apps ask on the installer process for your log-in (= they install in areas of your MacOs, which are by default 'protected').

49$ is a lot of money, esp. when you can use free tools to accomplish the same tasks..

They are only "legit" if you mean "probably rips off other people's code" without paying or giving credit.
