Making Photoshop default for opening images

Folks

As a video/graphics editor I need my images to open in Photoshop instead of Preview (for all the good things about Preview, it can't do what PS can do)...but how do I make Photoshop my default app to open images?

Regards

Highlight any file type you want Photoshop to open by clicking on it once. Press Command+I or choose Get Info from the menu bar at the top. Under the "Open with:" section, choose Photoshop as the application you want to use, then click the "Change All..." button. Close the Get Info box.

All files of that type will now open in Photoshop. A minor exception would be files that are the same type, but have a different creator. Those may still open in Preview or other application, but for the most part, they should open in Photoshop.

Repeat for each file type that is not opening in Photoshop by default.
