Iphone power button jammed

Iphone power button jammed

So i dropped my original iphone today, and the power button is jammed in. Now my apple care is good till 2/2010, would it be able to get fixed under apple care or am i out of luck? Should i try and fix it myself? Will this void my apple care if it is not covered?

Any and all help would be great.

well... if it just quit working on it's own it would be covered... if you dropped it, it would not.

at this point if they wont replace under apple care they might still be able to replace it for 199.99...

once you open it i'm not sure they would replace it for even 199.99

Dropped phones are not covered under Apple Care (not cool).

You can replace your power button for 75 bucks at this repair center called Dr. Cell Phone in Dallas.

Are they authorized iPhone repair agents?

I ask because if they are not and something else were to go wrong with the phone later, your warranty is invalid.

I broke the digitizer (glass panel) on my new 3gs. Sent ti Iresq.com. Had it back in 3 days door to door.

Why? AppleCare is not insurance against user clumsiness. It's an extended warranty against manufacturer defects.
