Text messages not going through

When I send a text to a certain number it never sends and I get an automated text back saying that the phone number wasnt entered properly and to put in the 10 digit phone number and when I do it correctly I still get the same message. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Try deleting the contact and then add it again.

I tried that also and it still is happening 😟 Does anyone know what else I can do about this? Thank you for the reply though

Go to Settings > Phone. Is International Assist turned on? If so, turn it off. It is probably adding a prefix onto your phone numbers which is causing the problem.
