Installing a Game (StarCraft)

All right here's my problem, StarCraft requires, for Mac, Mac OS 7.6 or higher however Mac OS X Tiger is too high and I needed to run it in classic start up. Well I went through and installed from disc 2 the classic setup deal following the user guide instructions. So I did all this and then tried to install StarCraft again and I got a little bar showing that classic set up was starting up and then a little window pops up saying "Couldn't open installer archive. You must run the installer on the StarCraft CD." I restarted my laptop and tried again but the same window popped up displaying the same message. I'm lost as to where to go from here. If anybody knows what to do or has any tips or ideas as to what to do they would be much appreciated.

Hello Brad,

Regardless of what this problem may be, you can most likely avoid the whole issue by going over to Mac Game Files and searching for "Starcraft" There is an OS X Installer for Starcraft, as well as a game launcher so you won't have to play it through Classic

The problem was that you had to actually boot into OS 9 to get the installer to work. It's nice for Blizzard to have taken care of it.
