Is the Apple Wireless Keyboard Worth It?

Hello.

I was about to purchase the apple wireless keyboard without the numeric pad but after reading a bunch of negative reviews at the apple store site and the forum here with regards to the connectivity issues, should i get it? Is this an apple keyboard issue or is it an operating system issue that needs to be addressed possibly in the next update, 10.5.8, and if so should I wait?

I like mine and I've had it attached to several Mac Minis and a uMBP without failure. Very small and well designed keyboard. I would purchase this device again given my experience.

About 2 years. The new design is a vast improvement over the keyboards of the past. Much easier to keep clean and stow away when not in use. There's not another keyboard I would rather have.

It's a must have device along with the mouse.
I never have attached the corded keyboard that came
with the MacPro.

Only issue with the newer keyboard, it doesn't like 10.4.11.
on older laptops like G4 Powerbook.

The best feature with both mouse and keyboard is ZOOM.
Using scroll button on mouse, and Option key, you can
view any detail from across the room.

I have used the Bluetooth keyboard on my MDD for roughly a year now. Every once in a great while it will lose its connection, but a few mouse clicks fixes that. I have replaced the batteries twice now, if I recall correctly.

All in all I would have to say that it has been a very serviceable unit which I would purchase again. I am not sure if they have added the full size keyboard as yet, but Apple should if they have not done so already.
