iPhoto version 2.0.1 is very old and is not supported.

Copied from this link.

http://www.apple.com/iphone/how-to/index.html#photos.syncing-photos-with-your-co mputer

+iTunes can sync your photos with the following applications:+

+Mac: iPhoto 4.0.3 or later, or Aperture.+

This is for transferring photos in iPhoto from your Mac to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process.

The same is required for importing photos and videos that were captured by your iPhone. Although importing photos that were captured by your iPhone may work with iPhoto 2.0.1, it is not supported and apparently importing video that was captured by your iPhone is not supported with iPhoto 2.0.1.

I believe the Image Capture application is included with every OS X version, but definitely included with Panther (10.3.x), Tiger (10.4.x), and Leopard (10.5.x), and OS X 10.4.11 or later is supported with the iPhone, so your Mac should be running 10.4.11 or later.

Did you delete the Image Capture application?

If so, you need to re-install it since your version of iPhoto is not supported.

i cant update freely my version of iPhoto ?

No.

but if i want to reinstall image capture , will i have to reinstall all the system ? or only the image capture application ? you sure i can only choose that app, then select it and install it ?

Since you must be running Tiger (10.4.11) or later, Tiger includes a custom install feature to re-install a select application only, but not for all applications included on the install disk.

I don't believe the Image Capture application can be installed only via the Tiger install disc custom install feature.

If not, this will require an Archive & Install.

Yes, and my name is Allan, not God.

Why would you delete the Image Capture application in the first place?

I've already provided the Apple applications that support this many times.

Maybe one of the Adobe photo applications will work, but I don't believe it will be free.

An Archive and Install does not take very long. The sooner you get started, the faster you will be done with it.

And I am done.

Best of luck.
