Iphone 3 GS: Video Conversion

Hi,

Unable to convert any movie/video to a format recognized by my Iphone. I even used the Itune, Create... on the Advanced section. It converts but when but when go to syn, it does not show. Very frustrating. I used various conversion applications -- no success. Any idea? Is it a 3 GS thing?

Do any of the conversion utilities you used include an iPod or iPhone selection for the conversion?

Hi,

The issue is most likely related to the format of the video or the conversion application/utility that you are using.

This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1211 will walk you through converting and syncing a sample video file to the iPhone.

I use a PC duo core...

All my selection are for iphone and H264(forget the number).

I presume you are having success. Can you tell me how you do it and with which utility? As I mentioned, I even use the thing from Itunes itself. It converts but when I go to sync, the converted video does not show.

Jason,

I have tried it. Here are the formats I have converted: avi and utube (.flv?). I must be doing something wrong. I bet it is a very simple thing too. Oh well, if you all know of a proven converter, let me know.

Handbrake and videora have presets for iPhone.

also, did you setup iTunes to sync those files to your iPhone? after you connect your iPhone, go to the 'video' tab and scroll down. in the 'movies' section should be listed all of the files you have in the 'movies' section of iTunes.

i'm using the videora converter, and i have not had any problems at all assuming the source video is good.
