I think you need to provide details of what you intend to shoot. Cameras each have certain limitations depending on what you want to actually shoot with them determines which camera is best for you. All of them can be made to run with FCP. DV cameras work slickest probably, but they aren't HD. I'd look at avchd cameras in that price area. They all will work OK.

Harrison has a history in this place and his user status has been revoked once before and he can't be bothered with The Google or any of his own research.

He comes and asks these questions that make no sense, people answer them with good sound answers and advice and because he doesn't want to hear the advice, he completely disregards any help that anyone bothers to give.

I'm currently waiting for a cordless tool battery to charge so I can finish a minor home improvement project so I'll indulge for a bit a morning chuckles.

Harrison,

Your GL2 is a good camera. You should really join the AV club at your junior high and learn about video technology and maybe get a summer job at a tv studio, if you're old enough, before you go spending your parents money on a silly consumer "hd" camera. Take a lighting class, take an editing class, take a compositing class, a mograph class, take a dang still camera photography class and learn a thing or two about composition, for crying out loud.

Unbelievable, all this advice was given to you before by many knowledgeable people and here you are again wasting bandwidth.

Have fun.

Harrison,

My son started taking evening classes at the local community college when he was 12 years old. By the time he was old enough to attend college regularly, he had 27 credit hours under his belt, and his classes (almost all having to do with computers) helped him snag a really nice scholarship.

You may want to think about doing something like that if you have a college nearby. It took permission from the college and from his middle school. You have to be very mature to get that permission, but it's something you and your parents may want to consider for you.

Good luck!
