Battery losing charge more quickly

Up until now I have been pleased with my 3GS battery...but in the last couple of days it seems to be losing its charge more quickly with less use. At 5 pm tonight it was at 90%. I haven't used it since and now 3 3/4 hours later it is down to 60&. It is on my home network, and I haven't changed any of the settings. When I first got the phone I was playing several hours of games and the battery was lasting much longer. I generally plug it in to the computer each night for a sync and a charge and usually I get it down to 20 or 30% The only thing I can think of that might be the problem is the car charger...it has the option for a 'quick' charge...

Any hints or help?

Try doing a full turn off using the top button, vs. Sleep.

Next would be a Reset (hold both buttons for 10 sec or so).

Final step would be to do a backup in iTunes (a sync) then a Restore.

Things don't change for no reason and it seems unlikely this would be a hardware issue appearing sometime after buying the phone.

Mine has been happy again once I did a reboot. I have not used it since noon today (it was 100% this morning) and it is still at 86% at 6:30. The other day you could practically watch the battery drain. Try the rebook (actually I turned it off for a while) and then recharge and reboot - it's like little gremlins get in there and you have to show them who's boss! LOL!!!
