appleworks?

Question

appleworks?

I bought a G4 iBook 12" in november 2004, it came preloaded with appleworks (and panther), ive since bought tiger and done a fresh install, and ive loaded all my old discs but none of them have appleworks on them.

now im sure my computer came free with appleworks so where is it? am i being thick?

AppleWorks is on your CD as an extra. It has to be loaded seperately because it comes in many languages and you have to select which language you want. It's a custom install option on your install disks.

The retail version of Tiger does not include the ilife software or appleworks.

You can restore them with the install discs included with the computer.

It isnt though, thats what im saying, ive been through ALL the disks and installed iMovie and iDVD and the rest but NOT appleworks, ive installed all the extra one i can find

if someone can tell me exactly which disk its supposed to be on id be very grateful, THANXS

Exactly which version of Mac OS X is on your original install disk? If it's 10.3.4-10.3.7 check out this article:

If it's a different version, let us know which version it is. It should be printed on your install disk, but it might be kind of small!

yeah 10.3.5.... doesnt help me much but if you can tell me where appleworks is supposed to be it would be a great help 🙂

Did you ever find it? I have the same problem with my Powerbook G4, I have the three disks and the SW Restore and nowhere can I find Appleworks
