How to resize the QuickTime player in Windows (no resize handles)?

The QuickTime app starts the play button is off the screen and the window won't resize. What is the trick for shrinking the window to a smaller size? If I remember right, apple apps only let you resize with a little triangle in the bottom corner, but that is off the screen too.
