Using the SD Reader slot for Micro SD cards?

I have the new 13" MacBook Pro that has a SD card slot. My question is, are there any adapters that I could get that would let me read a Micro SD card from my cell phone?
I know there are SD to Micro SD adapters, however, they "stick out"

Would you happen to know of any "low-profile" adaters that would only go in and only stick out just enough to put in the micro sd card and not stick out so much? I could then leave the adapter card in the slot at all times. This would keep the slot free of dust when not in use, allow me to usually use a micro SD card without an USB adapter and plus, if I want to use it as a regular SD slot, I can just take out the adapter and use it normally.

Is there anything like this that I could buy? I've looked and looked and can't find anything.

Please let me know if you've find anything. Sounds like a great product idea if none exists.

If there were such an adapter, it wouldn't be usable in most devices that can use the adapters I've seen, precisely because nothing would protrude from the slot: there wouldn't be anything to hold onto to remove it.

See the 2nd pic in OP's 2nd post. I used to use the same reader on my previous MBP. Despite the fact that it was spring-loaded, the SD card still protrudes a few millimeters, enough that you could slide your fingernail into the ridge on the SD card and pull it out.
