Safari for Linux

I know this is not the place for it but I could not find a better place. When is Apple going to start making Linux compatible software. I would like to use Safari on my Linux OS. As well as itunes. Is there any where I could suggest this to a higher authority?

Why do you say that the chances of Safari working on Linux OS is a shot in the dark? I thought Mac is or was based of Unix/Linux? Am I incorrect?

You got the Unix part right. But Linux is not part of the OSX or based on it...

But to be honest, no one should ever say Apple won't make a program to work on another OS. Look(!), they made Safari for Windows! Whose to say they won't make Safari for Linuxs. Gee... I like to see Final Cut Pro ported over to Windows. Boy, wouldn't that shake some people/businesses up.

I can't speak for Apple...

You could probably find some open source browser that is based off the rendering engine though (webkit). It's known that there will be a Linux version of chrome and that uses webkit. The Safari part is just the user interface and front-end. I doubt apple will be build a Linux version of Safari, given Linux's current market share.

Here is a list of webkit browsers. At least one is definitely a linux program.
