Phone keeps needing to be restored

This is getting really annoying but every 2 or 3 days my phone is saying it needs to be fully restored. On top of all of that, when I try to sync and restore using my main Vista 64 based system the restore fails. It only works after syncing and restoring the phone to my MacBook.

Is this phone just defective or are their bigger problems happening when using it with Vista 64?

Never mind, it seems to be happening on my MacBook now since I just had to restore the phone again. The message I get after restoring in iTunes is just "We're sorry, the iPhone you have connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service."

Sounds to me like I can't get around this and that they phone may really be dead...

Ok, that worked in recovering the phone, but I am still having to restore the phone around once a day. Could an app be responsible for putting the phone into recovery mode? The reason I say that, is that I am almost always running Beejive when the phone tells me it needs to be restored.

Restore again and set up as a new phone (don't reload the backup), then test for a few days without reinstalling beejive.
