How do I transfer the ringtones I downloaded to my iPhone?

I recently downloaded an album of ringtones from iTunes. The ringtones downloaded into iTunes, and will play in iTunes, but I can't seem to transfer them into the ringtone section of my iPhone to use them as ringtones.

I have read several bits of advice about dragging the songs into GarageBand, but I can't seem to do that either.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks for that, but the advice here seems to relate to songs that you buy as music, then convert into ringtones.

The album I downloaded is advertised as ringtones, but, for some reason, has downloaded into my music folder and iTunes doesn't seem to recognise the tracks as ringtones.

The solutions provided thus far work. Anyone else that may buy one of these ringtone "albums", the initial problem is that the ringtones are delivered to you in .mp3 format. You must convert these files to the ringtone file format.

The easiest solution I have found is to use the free service located at:

http://audiko.net/

You simply upload the files and then audiko.net lets you download in the needed ringtone format.
