Details about Iphone model a1239

Hi,
I got an Iphone as a present but I think its a fake one. :/

Some info that the person who gave me it told me is: its from endland and its GS 3.0.
The only thing I am sure about it, its that on the back of the Iphone it says: Model No:A1239
I don't know what OS it has or how can I check it.

My question is:
How can I tell if this Iphone isn't a fake one?
And most important - where can I find some info about this model? I didn't find anything about it. :/

I'm not sure where is the serail. here is the back of the Iphone, where is the serial?

It's not on the back of the phone. Go to Settings > General > About.

Where is endland? Is it nice there? 😉 If you mean England, are you there? iPhones sold in England are carrier-locked to O2 and will not work with any other SIM card.

EDIT: Just looked at the pic - that is a fake iPhone.

Is there a clear plastic case installed on this iPhone?

If not, the 3G and 3GS have a sold back case. The line near the bottom indicating the case is two pieces is a give-away that this iPhone is fake.

Even if there's a plastic case on there responsible for the line near the bottom, the silver ring around the camera is missing, and there are errors in the printed text (spacing, missing punctuation).

I'm glad I don't have friends like that.. 😉

Since its a fake, do you know where I can get info about it? I really didn't find anything. :/

Info like what - who manufactured this garbage?

Your friend may not know any better - didn't know that a take-off or a fake was purchased, so I would bring this up to your friend.

well... i tried doing a search on the fcc id...

BCG is apples grantee code... cant find one ever listed as A1239 however...

you have me intrigued... is it running apple software?

are we sure its a fake? is it a prototype?
