AVCHD import problem, Video speed is FAST!

AVCHD import problem, Video speed is FAST!

When previewing the clips in the bin PRIOR to importing, everything looks great, and both Audio & Video run at realtime speed, but AFTER importing, the VIDEO is running at what appears to be 200%, audio is perfect... Help, please!

imac, Mac OS X (10.5.7), 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Please give complete information about your format and camera. You might also do a forum search. I think there is a similar discussion a few inches below yours.

I'm having the same problem. I've imported video without a problem before, but now the video speed after import is probably 4x faster.

I'm using a Sony DCR-PC101 with a firewire connection. The camera uses Mini-DV.

As Jesse Boy says the preview runs at normal speed. When viewing the LCD monitor on the camera while importing its running at normal speed.

Is there a setting I can adjust in iMovie to fix this?

Please start a new thread as this is not related to AVCHD. Please give your full specifications in addition to the camera, exact format you're shooting, settings you're using in FCE, computer, hard drives, how everything connected, version of FCE, OS and QuickTime.
