How can I edit songs in my iTunes Library?

I have duplicate songs in my iTunes Library, but when I try to edit the artist it's "gray-toned" or doesn't allow me to. I ahve some artists that may have misspelled names or missing a period or apostrophe, or something small. But for some reason...I can't.

Any suggestions?

The grayed-out effect usually means the file is not editable because it is set to "Read Only."

To change it, right-click the library entry, Show in Windows Explorer, right-click the file icon, click on Properties. If Read Only is checked, uncheck it and OK out.
