Is there any way to get the first version of this Apple OS or is it so old you can't get it anymore? What in the world was this version like and could the internet even work on it? I wonder if some people still have it.

Icy,

The earliest web configuration I have encountered was from a customer who came into the store with a Mac Plus that was configured to retrieve email from Germany. I meant to make a note of the software and how it was configured. I forgot and it left the store unstudied. All I remember is that it was OS 6. You would have better luck starting with OS 7 to do any web tinkering. Back in the day of OS 1 and the Lisa, the world communicated at 300 baud and they were bulletin boards, not web pages. And, we were on an Apple IIc. The Mac was a late comer in the wired community list of computers.
