Embed slideshow? Is there any way?

I would love to 'wrap' Aperture's slideshow so it stays within my website, instead of having to link 'out' to it.

Any ideas?

Are you talking about mobile me or literally Aperture slide shows?

Anyway you can't right now. Typically I use slide show software to do this kind of thing for web distribution, there is a flash slide show plugin for Aperture, I also have done some really cool stuff with iMovie (stills + audio) and Final Cut to generate web content.

Darn.

I'm desperately trying to figure out a cross-browser, non-flash simple SLIDESHOW for a site I'm doing. It's for a medical clinic, and the patients are fairly old, with a higher-than-normal rate of IE6 (ugh!).

Everything I've tried breaks on at least ONE browser. But I think I'm going to stick w/ the CSS one I created, and just give it a subtitle that it "doesn't work in IE6.. upgrade your browser!!!) LOL.

PS, the reason I was wondering about Aperture having a plug in is because the little GoogleMaps API works great. But I can't find anything that 'plugs in' like that, and is super SIMPLE.

Ugh.

Ed,

I primarily use SmugMug, rather than MobileMe galleries these days, and one important reason is that their slideshow works with older browsers as well as newer ones. I am familiar with the IE6 limitation with MobileMe. I will tell you that the Web Page function to MobileMe versus the gallery album worked with IE6 the last time I tested. Photos don't get as large, but you can have the Caption display with the photo.

Apologies. That's what I had already made in Aperture.

It's certainly functional, and simple (which is great), but hopefully a future release of either Aperture or iPhoto will provide a simple Javascript plugin...

/holding my breath 😉

I suspect that Aperture 3.0 will have many more web features built-in, especially those that work with MME.

What you're looking for is what is available in iPhoto, so we know it is possible.
