iPhone 3G - O2 UK - No sound in call

Hi, am having a problem with my 3G 8gb iPhone on O2 in the UK.

Sometimes when I make calls I cant hear anything on the other end, they can hear me but I cant hear them, when I hang up and redial then it normally works fine.

There is no headphone plugged in and there is no bluetooth connection active, I dont change anything when I redial and it works fine.

Any thoughts on what the problem is?

iMac 3.06ghz, 4Gb RAM, 500 HDD, Mac OS X (10.5.6), iPhone 8gb, iPod 30gb

I'd just like to comment that I've got exactly the same problem. It's happened twice out of four calls today. I can't hear a thing but the person on the other end can hear me rabbiting away fine, calling them back it just magically works. I'm on O2 pay as you go contract with unlimited data(8Gb 3G phone).

I didn't have this problem with the previous SDK and only noticed it since upgrading to 3.0.0 (and 3.0.1).
