What is the better antivirus?

Out of curiosity which antivirus is the best product for Macs? Something that won't slow my computer down.

1. McAfee Anitvirus for mac
2. ClamXav
3. PC Tools !antivirus
4. Intego

If you guys have any suggestion other than these, please let me know.

Thanks

None of the above. Literally - skip the antivirus software entirely. All of them use overhead (wasted CPU cycles) to scan for nonexistent viruses - there are NO viruses in the wild affecting Mac OS X. Yes, there are Trojans - those require you to download illegal software then provide your admin password for the install. (Hint - no antivirus software is going to prevent 'wetware' stupidity!)

The only reason to run antivirus software is to scan for Windows viruses you might inadvertently forward to other Windows users. Those will not affect Macs, and I say let the Windows users protect themselves.

I am using iAntiVirus. Search on "iAntiVirus" to find a number of reviews of the product--the great majority of which are very favorable. Some provide the reviewers' reasons for thinking that it is wise to run AV currently. I can't say which AV is best. There is very little information available at this time. I have not found any noticeable resource drain using iAntiVirus--which is produced by PC Tools--a company with an excellent reputation for its Windows software. One good thing, IMO, about iAntiVirus is that the program does not protect against Windows viruses.
