MacBook SuperDrive IMGBurn support

I'm trying to make backups of games I own using IMGBurn, and apparently my DVD+Rs need to be booktyped to DVD-R by selecting the correct drive. IMGBurn has no option for Apple SuperDrive. Has anyone had a similar issue? Should I just go buy some DVD-Rs instead?

EDIT: I forgot to mention I found this http://www.plak.net/dvdplustool/
It says on that page that, "This tool is of no use to users of DVD-R(W) writers such as the Apple SuperDrive." However, I though the Apple SuperDrive used DVD+R. Would this tool work even if I switched onto the Windows side? I've never burnt anything before, so I'm just really confused.

I'm not sure why you can't burn to a DVD+R in Windows. I actually don't pay much attention when I buy disks. The ones I have now are -Rs but I know I've had +R disks working on the mac side in the past.

I use IMGburn in windows all the time without a problem. But maybe I just haven't tried it with a +R disk yet.

How old is your macbook? Maybe the older macbook drives don't support +R disks. Having said that, I have the first generation intel imac which is as old as the oldest macbooks and I can burn them.

Other than that, make sure you have you apple drivers in windows up to date by updating boot camp and burning a new driver disk.
