If you want to take a picture of what you see on your screen, take a screenshot. Press and hold the home button and hit the sleep button once. The picture will be saved to the picture roll and you can send them via mail.

Great tip! I've had all 3 generations of the iPhone and just learned this today. Wonder what else I'm missing? Lots of stuff, I'm sure!
