ibook clamshell, orange..........update?

iTunes is the only part of iLife '05 that will work on a tangerine (orange) clamshell. iTunes is a free download so no need to buy iLife '05.

Not much you can do with it - I am using my Blueberry as an Internet terminal. Panther runs surprisingly well on my 300MHz with 128MB of RAM.

Kidding. I don't know much about what you can do with it as in "what will run on it and how well," but from a personal aspect, if I had one, I'd keep it. Even if it were just a paperweight/coffee table nick-knack, I'd keep it. I just feel the iBook colors are works of art amongst computers. But, on the other hand, if you are looking to sell it you'd definitely get more than it's "worth" in terms of how it performs. Like, someone would probably pay the same price for your iBook as they would for a slightly newer iBook that performs twice as good. Just going on what I've read from others, it's probably not really worth upgrading unless you're very into the look/style of it.
Or, you could always strap it on your arm when you go jogging and use it as the world's largest (yet coolest) iPod. Take

Hello there. I am a long time apple guy but new to these forums, and I am sorry to have to tell you that an orange ibook will not run adobe, OS X.3+, or any of the iLife stuff without at least $200 upgrades. You are stuck with a 300Mhz Processor (not upgradeable), pretty low RAM (semi-upgradeable if you have the cash), and no airport unless you can slam down more cash on that outdated part. Unless you want a beautiful orange paper-weight hangin around, just sell it on ebay (you could get between $80-100 for it).

If you want to be charitable, my brother could use one of those for parts. (he is trying to build one). No pressure though, but it's what do I have to lose in asking?
