Exchange - reply and forward symbols not showing up in Outlook
I have an iPhone setup for Exchange ActiveSync with an Exchange 2003 server. Everything works great, except for the little purple reply arrow and the little blue forward arrow. When I reply or forward from my iPhone, those arrow indicators don't show up in Outlook or in Outlook Web Access. If I reply or forward from Outlook or Outlook Web Access, it shows up in both of those and on the iPhone. When I used to have a Windows Mobile phone, replies and forwards from the phone showed the arrows in Outlook and Outlook Web Access. Is this just my iPhone/Exchange server or is this an issue for all iPhone/Exchange users?
It's that way for everyone. You see the curved 'reply' or straight 'forward' arrow on the iPhone, but not the purple/blue arrows on the envelope icons in your Outlook Inbox (nor does the gray bar with 'You replied on...' show up in Outlook).
I take it that means there's no fix for this issue? I guess I'm kind of confused, since I thought Apple was licensing EAS from Microsoft, which I assumed meant it would work like it would on a Windows Mobile phone. Although, now that I think about it, I guess you can only have the Inbox push; you can't select any other folder to sync with push e-mail.
If anyone knows of a fix, or when a fix will be available, that would be great, since it's been over a year now since the iPhone has had EAS capabilities. Thanks!
I've already submitted feedback, but it's been over a year now, so I'm not too hopeful for a solution from Apple. I thought I would post here on the off-chance that someone had a solution.
Everyone in my office has this problem as well (all have iPhone 3GS devices). We did not experience this issue with our Windows Mobile phones.
Is this something Apple is going to fix? I know this is not just common to the iPhone/Exchange mix--BugZilla for Zimbra has a very similar issue posted.
