garbled pdf file

Could anyone explain the distortions? All other pdf files are just fine but this (new) one is not doing well at all. Page shows ok on Windows.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

I have the suspicion that the root of the problem lies in MS Word's conversion to pdf. Importing Windows "doc" documents into Mac creates problems that can be solved by saving and exporting from Windows in "docx" formats.
This one is produced from a Word file in "doc" and that may be at the core of the problem when opening this file in the Mac environment. Adobe Reader in Mac has no problems with it at all.
Other documents on this Web page are created via InDesign and there are no problems at all with those.

Could you explain to me what distortions are you talking about exactly?
It looks fine here, but maybe I'm missing what you're talking about.

Also, what font are you using in that PDF?
Is it the same as in the other PDF's that look OK to you?
