I have a possible solution.
I had same problem. Latest iTune, Latest iPhone.
Called the Mac Store, they put me to tech support - did not solve the problem
Uninstalled & reinstaled iTunes - did not solve the problem
What made the problem go away is this:
Updated half of the apps directly on my iPhone while connected on WiFi.
Ran a sync
iTunes transfered updates from iPhone to iTunes
Then when I tried to download the remainig updtes in iTunes it worked with no problem.
Now there is no problem. Looks like the install of updates directly worked like a roto-rooter. Does no make sense but it worked.
try installing a few app updates (not all) directly on iPhone from the AppStore app while on your wiFi or 3G
Then sync with iTunes
iTunes will update the apps from your phone to your computer during the sync
Now try downloading updates from the iTunes store in iTunes to see if the problem is fixed. This fixed the problem for me, but I am curious if it was a fluke
It does not make sense, but the installed update on the iPhone followed by a update from the phone to iTunes during sync worked like a roto-rooter!
Hi all, just to share with you. I have 13 apps needs to update via itunes and having this same problem. What I did was clicking the "get update" one-by-one on each app. I didn't click the update all, which is causing this problem. I don't know why also but probably it is something wrong with the itunes version regarting "update all" button.
I'm having this same error in this new version of the application. If you click each app it works. But the update all button fails!!! Apple please fix this!
Friend, this is genius. Thank you for thinking clearly and spotting this little work around. I noticed that in all cases in which I bumped into this (I have my iPhone updating from two different iTunes accounts) I get the error message "This product contains material that may be objectionable to children under 17"... Seemed a little over protective since it was fussing over apps like "ebay", but no matter. Anyone else see this error message appear before the "update all" failure?
If you have the ebay app, I'm guessing that is causing this problem.
What I did was update the ebay app by itself, and once that is complete I then press the 'update all' button and the error message no longer pops up. I hope this helps.
Yes, I experienced this exactly. Each time I received the objectionalbe material warning & OK'd it, I then got the 'not enough memory' error. When I clicked through my 9 app updates one-by-one, I found that 3 of the apps generated this error.
This specific error code seems to be a red-herring; I'm certain that something else is going on and iTunes is translating the error incorrectly.
OK, I don't have the eBay application. Actually, I could not relate this problem to a specific application. I have just upgraded to iTunes 9 and the problem is still there.
I can use the Update All button if I have a maximum of 2 applications to be updated. More than that I get the error. Updating one by one works fine like in the previous version of iTunes.
I set my Virtual Memory to 8G from 4G and it did not help. How do we report this problem to Apple? Is there a bug tracking system for reporting bugs?
