My Macbook hard drive has just died on my me and I've managed to install another older drive. Unfortunately I didn't have Time Machine setup. I want to try and restore my Contacts, Calendar and Bookmarks on the Macbook which I currently have synched up on my iPhone 3GS. Is this possible and if so how?

I also have a Mobile Me account with my recent contacts and calendar events in. Not sure if this is useful. It's the bookmarks I'd really like to restore.

If you have a MobileMe account that you were syncing contacts, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks with on your MB before the hard drive failed, create your MobileMe account on the new drive - at System Preferences > MobileMe, and sync contacts, calendar events, and Safari bookmarks with your MM account on the hard drive being used.

Thanks Allan - that worked like a charm. I've only recently subscribed to MobileMe and wasn't aware that it was so ... simple. Just wished I'd backed up more now
