Updated Iphone with 3.01 and now it does not work, Just has the apple logo

I plugged my Iphone in this morning to my computer and it sync'ed with itunes and told me that 3.01 update is available. I updated the phone but it never totally completed, it appeared to complete about 3/4 of the way indication on the computer but then stopped and did nothing for about an hour the phone showed the apple logo with a solid line beneath the logo and now I have nothing except the apple logo on my phone. it was 90% charged when i plugged the phone in. Tried calling ATT but they told me they could do nothing, tried to contact apple but they also could do nothing nor offer advise, the closest store has made a reservation for tomorrow more than 30 hours after this incident. the phone is one week old and usless
