Q: Moving Audio Files to External Drive and reindexing (I'm sure redundant)

Basically until I can get my new Mac Book Pro with 500g HD, I am constantly running low on HD space. I want to Move all Audio Content, Loops, etc. to an external Firewire 800 drive, and reindex. It has been so long since I did this, I'd like some instructions and maybe a walk through. I am sure there are tons of posts if I would just read, but I'm sessioned out this week and am not wanting to have to think for a day or two...ha
