Buy iphone at At&t store or apple store?

Does anyone have an opinion about whether it's better to buy at an AT&T store or an Apple store? Thanks.

Doesn't really matter. Apple Stores have a better selection of accessories, and you can be sure the salesperson won't try to push a BlackBerry on you instead... 😉

the only difference (in my area at least) is that they have 3GS's in stock @ the Apple store but the AT&T store does not. @ the AT&T store you have to order the 3GS and it will come in a few days.

If you have an existing AT&T account and want to change your plan or move numbers around, I'd go to AT&T. If not, as others have said, either should work.

Neither unless you're aware that if you lose it or it's stolen it's $599 to replace a 3Gs 16gb model.

I had better luck at the AT&T store because they waived the activation fee on three lines and threw in free cases and others credits to the account. I don't think the apple store is able to negotiate prices at all, where as the AT&T store can.

I found the experience at the Apple store a lot more pleasant and efficient. Besides, they have a lot of other accessories to browse. Their selection of cases was a little slim, but they have earphones and battery packs galore!!!!

Is it possible to trade in your old iphone for the new ipone that just came out and if it costs more can u put in the rest in cash?

I bought a refurbished 3G Iphone from AT&T. Immediately after the 90 day warranty ran out my Iphone started acting up and now I'm stuck because I can't afford to buy a new version at $299. If I purchased the refurb 3G at Apple, it would have had a one year warranty and I wouldn't be in this predicament. Buy all of your equipment from Apple.

You can't trade in an old cell phone for a new one. Cell phone companies stopped doing that ten years ago.

The iPhone warranty is the exact same whether you buy it from Apple or ATT.

Warranties on refurbs from either location are 90 days. Warranties on a brand new iPhone are one year.
