Battery down to one light, blinks rapidly

I'm selling my old Macbook Pro, and noticed that the battery is down to a single green light, when I push the check charge light it blinks rapidly for a while then stops.

I've left it plugged in for days, no charge.

Is it dead? it's a model A1175 battery.
